Co-May Pasdar-Shirazi, MD

Dr. Co-May Pasdar-Shirazi grew up in the Sugar Land area and strives to provide quality primary care services to those in her hometown. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry at Texas A&M University and received her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine in Galveston. Dr. Pasdar-Shirazi then spent 4 years in Chapel Hill at the University of North Carolina completing her combined residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics before returning home to Texas.

As a physician, Dr. Pasdar-Shirazi is passionate about patient autonomy. Her role as a physician is to educate patients and caregivers so that they can make the right medical decision for themselves and their loved ones. She believes that the practice of medicine should be based on a patient-centered model.

In addition to developing strong relationships with her patients, Dr. Pasdar-Shirazi enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and eating various cuisines from around the world.

Internal Medicine

Internal medicine physicians, or internists, are doctors that specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases, including long-term medical conditions in adults. Though they are highly-skilled at managing patients with multiple complex conditions, internists are also trained to keep healthy patients healthy.

Most internal medicine physicians are not able to provide medical care to children and adolescents; however, Dr. Pasdar-Shirazi is trained in both internal medicine and pediatrics. Therefore, she is able to provide quality care for patients of various complexities regardless of age.

Pediatrics

Pediatric physicians, or pediatricians, are doctors that specialize in the care and treatment of infants, children and adolescents. Their training allows them to ensure healthy growth and to treat various conditions that a child was either born with or developed later on in life.

Most pediatric physicians are not able to provide medical care once a child becomes a young adult; however, Dr. Pasdar-Shirazi is trained in both pediatrics and internal medicine. Therefore, she is able to provide quality care for patients of various complexities regardless of age.
